About This House

I am creating this post to seek temporary care for one or both of my dogs. I am in the process of separating from a former cohabitant, and we share two dogs.

My original plan was to keep one dog, a Labrador and Pitbull mix, who is a gentle companion. He understands his physical limitations due to a prior injury from before I adopted him from the shelter. His hind legs become unreliable if he is overly active. Typically, he is calm and amuses himself with his toys.

I have never wanted, and still do not want, to surrender my beloved pets. After further considering the concerns raised about one of my dogs, I believe it is in the best interest of both animals to remain together. My other dog reacts negatively to unfamiliar dogs and displays food aggression. The only canine he is compatible with is my Lab mix. Taking them to a shelter is not a possibility I will consider. I remain hopeful that I will soon secure a larger living space where I can keep both dogs. However, for the next few months, I require a temporary foster home while I organize my affairs.

Important Consideration

The ideal temporary caregiver would have no other dogs or cats, due to the behavioral issues of my second dog.
