We are seeking a candidate with a background in garment production and administrative operations to become part of our team as we expand our manufacturing enterprise.
Our company is a small, independent, domestically-based, woman-owned and operated apparel business located in the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District. This role is central to orchestrating workflow, encompassing responsibilities from front-office customer service to product manufacturing and shipping logistics.
Only individuals with direct experience in apparel production will be reviewed. We require expertise in production coordination to manage collaborative projects with a responsible and detail-focused approach from initial concept through to final execution.
This is a prime opportunity to work directly alongside the owner and designer in a hands-on, vertical facility within garden studio lofts, engaging in product development, marketing, and production. Ideal candidates will possess the following attributes: an independent and proactive mindset, the ability to multitask across several projects, strong organizational and self-management skills, and a commitment to meeting schedules and deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Two to four years of experience in small-scale women\'s apparel manufacturing and business administration tasks.
- Supportive knowledge of production coordination, fabrics, and garment construction.
- Experience coordinating purchase orders, cut tickets, top-of-production samples, managing local contractors, and maintaining inventory.
- Proficiency in order entry, QuickBooks, Excel spreadsheets (including pivot tables), sales reporting, and shipping platforms such as Shopify.
- Outstanding written, computer, and communication abilities. Spanish language skills are beneficial.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee front office management, perform basic administrative duties, and handle general maintenance.
- Take a proactive and skilled role in maintaining small retail and wholesale accounts, including light phone work.
- Schedule production timelines and update calendars.
- Take a hands-on role in coordinating multiple departments, from customer service through production to shipping.
COMPENSATION
- Starting wage is $25 per hour, with potential for growth for the successful candidate.
- Final terms to be determined based on experience and references, with compensation commensurate with background.
- Full-time position offering various benefits and compensation packages.
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, with some flexibility within a 40-hour work week.
