Professional Assistant (Construction) — Remodels, ADUs & Retaining Walls
Schedule: Primarily remote work within the Southern California region, with occasional requirements for client meetings and site visits.
Compensation: Competitive base salary supplemented by a performance-based bonus and mileage reimbursement for travel.

Primary Responsibilities
- Manage the project calendar and workflow: coordinate site visits, subcontractor schedules, and inspections to ensure project milestones are met.
- Handle client communications: prepare project proposals, provide status updates, compile selection sheets, and document meeting notes.
- Support pre-construction and permitting: compile documentation for permit submissions, monitor approval statuses, and collect certificates of insurance and vendor W-9 forms.
- Provide project support: organize plans and specifications, offer light quantity takeoff assistance, track requests for information and change orders, and follow up on punch-list items.
- Oversee purchasing and logistics: source finishes and fixtures, obtain quotes, place orders, and manage product deliveries and returns.
- Assist with documentation and basic finance: organize contracts, lien releases, and change orders; help with processing invoices and receipts.
- Conduct site visits as required: verify field dimensions and installed finishes, and perform photo documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Spanish language skills are beneficial; bilingual ability is a strong advantage.
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities, with a preference for systematic checklists and orderly digital filing.
- Construction industry background or administrative experience within a general contracting or design-build setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with interior design concepts, such as finish schedules, fixtures, and color boards, is helpful.
- Proficiency with technology: Google Workspace, Google Drive, Slack, and Excel/Sheets. Experience with Buildertrend, Procore, Bluebeam, or QuickBooks is a bonus.
- Clear written communication, a professional demeanor on phone and email, and confidence in client interactions.
- Must possess a valid driver\'s license and have access to reliable transportation for local travel.
