Assistant Property Supervisor (Residential Property Management)

Studio City, CA

Full-Time | Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (includes a one-hour lunch break)

Hybrid Schedule: Four days in the office, one day working remotely

Pay Rate: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour | This position is for one new hire only

We are currently seeking an outstanding Assistant Property Supervisor. The ideal candidate will be completely bilingual in Spanish and English and possess a demonstrated track record of successfully leading multiple residential properties. This is not an entry-level position. We require an individual who has honed their supervisory abilities, excels in a dynamic setting, and is deeply committed to providing exceptional service to property owners and residents.

A highly competent Assistant Property Supervisor is essential to maximizing resident satisfaction and optimizing property performance.

In this role, your skills will have a direct impact on the daily functions, tenant contentment, and financial results of a diverse property portfolio. You will act as the crucial link connecting owners, residents, and our executive leadership, guaranteeing that our properties run smoothly and uphold the superior standards for which LAPMG is known.

Please note: This role is not suitable if you are not bilingual, cannot type at least 45 words per minute, lack a minimum of three years in residential property management or supervisory experience, or do not possess robust organizational and communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the physical condition and operational success of several residential properties, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and high tenant satisfaction.
  • Act as the main point of contact for property owners, residents, and internal departments, addressing concerns with professionalism and consideration.
  • Administer leases, renewals, violations, and necessary legal proceedings such as evictions and small claims.
  • Perform regular property inspections and audits, and oversee maintenance requests to preserve property standards.
  • Work with executive leadership to assess property performance, offer strategic recommendations, and help implement improvements.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Full bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Typing speed of 45 words per minute or higher.
  • A minimum of three years of confirmed experience in residential property management or as a supervisor overseeing multiple properties.
  • Practical experience using property management software (AppFolio is highly preferred).
  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities, with a proven ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills for professional dealings with owners, tenants, and vendors.

Additional Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with low-income housing programs and their recertification procedures.
  • Demonstrated skill in conducting property inspections and audits to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Competency with the Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting tasks.
  • A cooperative, team-focused attitude with a history of successful cross-departmental collaboration.
