Position Overview

The Assistant Operations & Sales Manager aids the Operations & Sales Manager in the daily supervision of cultivation facility activities and provides support for sales-related functions. This position integrates administrative, regulatory, logistical, and client service duties to guarantee efficient processes, precise documentation, and successful team coordination. The role may involve driving for deliveries, meetings, or other operational needs.

Primary Duties

Operations Assistance

  • Aid in scheduling, delegating tasks, and monitoring workflow progress.
  • Oversee cultivation and post-harvest processes to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Manage inventory logs, monitor supply levels, and assist with purchasing.
  • Support regulatory tasks, such as METRC data input and audit readiness.
  • Help monitor expenditures and support the tracking of operational budgets.
  • Conduct driving assignments as necessary for obtaining supplies, delivering to clients, or attending off-site meetings.

Sales Assistance

  • Offer administrative aid for sales transactions and required compliance paperwork.
  • Support the preparation of sales reports, invoices, and order monitoring.
  • Facilitate coordination among cultivation, post-harvest, and sales teams to ensure timely order completion.
  • Aid marketing efforts, including updating databases and assembling promotional materials.
  • Assist with client correspondence and account management as guided by management.

Team and Administrative Aid

  • Support the onboarding and training of employees on standard procedures and compliance protocols.
  • Help maintain clear communication channels between leadership and staff.
  • Assist in generating reports, compiling meeting minutes, and preparing department updates.
  • Foster a secure, compliant, and efficient workplace atmosphere.

Requirements and Competencies

Essential

  1. One to two years of experience in operations, sales support, or an administrative capacity (cannabis industry experience is desirable).
  2. Possession of a valid driver’s license and willingness to drive for business purposes.
  3. Knowledge of regulatory tracking systems, such as METRC.
  4. Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management abilities.
  5. Competence using spreadsheet software and record-keeping applications.
  6. Capacity to manage confidential information with integrity.

Preferred

  • Background encompassing both operations and sales in a regulated environment.
  • Previous customer service or account management experience.
  • Fundamental knowledge of cannabis cultivation and product management.
