Sunday position available. The starting wage is $16.50 per hour.

We are looking for a dependable and customer-focused Cashier and Vehicle Registration Clerk to become part of our smog inspection facility. The perfect applicant will manage daily customer payments, complete DMV registration renewals and title transfers, and help ensure efficient front office activities.

Primary Duties

• Welcome customers, deliver outstanding service, and manage all front-counter communications.
• Handle payments for smog inspections, DMV renewals, and associated services, including cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Perform DMV registration renewals, title transfers, and issue new registration stickers or license plates using approved DMV systems.
• Check vehicle and customer details for correctness before finalizing DMV submissions.
• Keep an accurate cash drawer, balance payments at shift end, and compile daily sales summaries.
• Respond to telephone inquiries, book appointments, and offer details about station services.
• Maintain orderly records of transactions, receipts, and registration documents.
• Ensure adherence to all DMV and state rules and regulations.
• Keep the front desk and customer waiting space tidy, organized, and inviting.
• Help with general clerical or administrative tasks as required.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience as a cashier, DMV clerk, or in a customer service position is desirable.
• Knowledge of DMV registration procedures or a readiness to undergo training.
• High level of care and precision when managing money and paperwork.
• Superior communication and customer service abilities.
• Fundamental computer skills, including typing, data entry, and point-of-sale systems.
• Must be trustworthy, on time, and capable of working without direct supervision.
