Job description:
The Assistant Account Manager aids the Account Management department in managing daily activities for primary retail accounts and other significant clients. Duties involve handling purchase orders, generating shipping paperwork and labels, liaising with the warehouse, monitoring shipment progress, and guaranteeing transparent communication among internal teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately and promptly process and examine customer purchase orders.
- Generate and print order information, shipping labels, and packing slips.
- Work with warehouse personnel to ensure precise item selection, packaging, and dispatch.
- Sustain dialogue with retail customers concerning order progress and delivery timelines.
- Aid Account Managers with reporting, product setup, and client meetings.
- Enter and oversee order-related information within ERP systems or retail platforms.
- Help address order inconsistencies or delivery problems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable qualification desirable.
- One to three years of background in order management, account coordination, or sales operations.
- Proficient written and spoken English communication abilities are necessary.
- Meticulous, accountable, and capable of managing several tasks within strict time constraints.
- Superior organizational and relationship-building skills.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Previous experience dealing with sizable retail accounts is advantageous.
