Part-Time Personal Assistant and Household Manager

I am seeking a dependable and exceptionally organized person to serve as a key partner in the upkeep of my Venice residence. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule, ideal for an individual adept at blending personal assistance, routine errands, and light household duties.

Position Overview

  • Compensation: $28 to $35 per hour, dependent on prior experience.
  • Employment Status: Part-time W-2 employee (standard payroll with taxes withheld).
  • Hours: Roughly 2 to 5 hours weekly, usually distributed over one or two recurring afternoons. The schedule may occasionally include additional hours based on weekly demands. I anticipate Thursday and Sunday afternoons will become two of the regular time blocks in the near future.
  • Location: Venice, California. The vast majority, if not all, errands will be within the local area. Mileage will be reimbursed.

Primary Responsibilities

Household Management and Meal Preparation:

  • Conduct light housekeeping, which includes handling one to two loads of laundry weekly.
  • Assist with weekly meal preparation tasks, such as washing fruit and preparing simple proteins.
  • Maintain household appliances by cleaning and refilling them as necessary, for example, humidifiers and air filters.

Errands and Shopping:

  • Complete a regular grocery shopping trip, including washing and properly storing all items.
  • Manage dry cleaning drop-off and pickup.
  • Handle other assorted local errands, such as taking the car for a wash.

Administrative and Coordination Duties:

  • Manage incoming packages and process any required returns.
  • Schedule and coordinate with home service professionals, such as plumbers and electricians, and act as the primary contact for the landlord.
  • On occasion, greet guests or service technicians at the home.
