Compensation Range: $68,000 to $80,000 annually

Staff Accountant

Objective

Reporting to the Controller, this role is tasked with the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following responsibilities are included, but are not limited to, the details outlined in this job description:

• Demonstrated proficiency in QuickBooks, both Desktop and Online versions.
• Preparation of journal entries.
• Assisting the Controller with month-end closing procedures and bank reconciliations.
• Experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Generation of periodic financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
• Maintenance of precise and accurate financial records.

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of professional accounting experience is required.
• A Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting is preferred.
• Proficiency and a solid understanding of Microsoft Excel is required.
• A high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail is required.
• Experience collaborating with mass retail accounts on item setup and configuration is desirable.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and in fast-paced, urgent environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks, is required.
• Problem-solving skills: applying logic and reasoning to identify solutions and approaches to challenges.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
