Led by the culinary veterans behind Dear John\'s, chefs Hans Röckenwagner and Josiah Citrin, we are currently hiring for our new Marina Del Rey establishment, Dear Jane\'s. We have openings for kitchen staff, including both prep and line cooks, at this fresh location. Dear Jane\'s serves as the sibling restaurant to the famed Culver City original, with a specialized focus on seafood cuisine. This is a thrilling chance to become part of our new team at one of the nation\'s most anticipated restaurant openings. We seek dedicated culinary professionals who can contribute to a vibrant, chef-led dining experience in Los Angeles.

We are looking to hire Line Cooks immediately as well as a Jr. Sous Chef

LINE COOKS

• Demonstrate a strong sense of duty and a heartfelt passion for delivering authentic hospitality.
• Must be available to work three to four shifts weekly, including weekends and holidays.
• Prior cooking experience is required.
• Must thrive in a rapid, high-energy setting.
• Should be a cooperative team player, possess a valid Food Handler\'s License, and maintain an excellent work ethic.

JUNIOR SOUS CHEF

• Support the planning, preparation, and execution of menu items in alignment with established recipe and presentation guidelines.
• Prepare items for designated stations, ensure ingredient freshness, and label all prepped components with the item name, date, time, and preparer\'s initials.
• Oversee kitchen staff, encompassing training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
• Periodically assist with procurement tasks such as ordering, storage, usage tracking, rotation, and inventory management.
• Help control costs by monitoring portion sizes, preparation quantities, minimizing waste, and upholding high preparation standards.
• Conduct regular kitchen inspections to assess food preparation quality, production, storage conditions, food presentation, and the cleanliness of areas and equipment, as well as staff appearance.
• Foster a positive, accountable team environment that strives for excellence in food, beverage, service, and guest hospitality.
• Ability to lead with dedication and passion.
