Prep & Line Cook Role

The Prep & Line Cook is mainly tasked with preparing food for service and completing dine-in and takeout orders from our wine bar menu. This menu features sandwiches, charcuterie boards, salads, and other shared plates. We are prepared to train a suitable candidate who demonstrates excellent attention to detail and can work efficiently, though some previous kitchen experience is beneficial. Our kitchen is compact, so you must be capable of working independently and preparing orders accurately within a short timeframe.

Candidates must be available for weekday and weekend shifts until 5 PM, with the potential for evening shifts.

Tasks

• Prepare the kitchen and set up for service.
• Follow menu guidelines when preparing dishes.
• Maintain inventory levels and inform team members of low or out-of-stock items.
• Communicate and collaborate with the kitchen manager and other kitchen staff.
• Develop off-menu dishes to incorporate seasonal ingredients.

Requirements

• Proficient knife skills.
• Previous kitchen work experience.

Desired (Not Required)

• Prior experience in placing inventory orders with suppliers and performing other Kitchen Manager responsibilities.
