Tartine Bakery in Santa Monica is seeking a full-time evening dishwasher and porter. This position offers a wage of $18.00 per hour, plus tips.
Weekend availability is required, including Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Job Summary
The primary responsibility is to perform essential cleaning tasks efficiently. Duties include washing pots, pans, dishes, and utensils; cleaning food preparation zones and equipment; receiving deliveries; maintaining an organized storeroom; and ensuring all work surfaces, walls, and floors are clean and sanitized.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold and promote the values and mission of Tartine Bakery.
- Wash all dishware and utensils.
- Perform daily cleaning of kitchen areas.
- Conduct deep cleaning of kitchen equipment.
- Maintain neat and orderly storage areas.
- Organize refrigeration and freezer units.
- Report malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor.
- Identify and report health and safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Communicate effectively with team members.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Support porter duties related to deliveries.
- Provide general porter support across Tartine Manufactory areas.
- Participate in required training to perform duties safely.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
Required knowledge areas include hygiene systems, dishwashing systems, stock rotation procedures, and hazard awareness.

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in a similar role, involving chemical cleaners and equipment deep-cleaning.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possession of a food hygiene certificate.
- Training in manual handling procedures.
- Understanding of health and safety protocols.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 5 hours).
- Capacity to reach, bend, stoop, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Stamina and availability to work 40 to 50 hours per week when necessary.
