Star Bar is seeking a sociable, dependable, and dynamic individual to serve as a Karaoke and Trivia Host for our weekly entertainment evenings. This role will be the central figure and voice of our establishment on event nights, responsible for maintaining musical continuity, engaging the audience, and fostering a lively, inviting environment. The ideal candidate thrives on interpersonal interaction, possesses confidence in public speaking, and has the ability to craft memorable experiences for our patrons.

Responsibilities

• Host and act as master of ceremonies for weekly karaoke and trivia events, maintaining an enthusiastic and positive demeanor.
• Coordinate and oversee karaoke participant sign-ups to ensure the event operates seamlessly.
• Manage audio equipment, curated playlists, microphones, and trivia software.
• Motivate audience involvement, support new performers, and cultivate an enjoyable setting.
• Assess the mood of the crowd and adapt the event\'s tempo, music selection, and interactive elements as needed.
• Make announcements regarding drink specials, promote future events, and provide assistance to bar staff when required.
• Uphold a cordial, welcoming, and considerate atmosphere for all customers.
• Arrive punctually, handle equipment setup and sound checks, and manage breakdown at the conclusion of the event.

Compensation and Schedule

• Position requires availability for 1 to 2 nights per week.
• Additional nights may be scheduled during special events and holiday periods.
