Broome St. General Store is looking to hire a part-time, full-time, or seasonal Barista who has experience with third-wave specialty coffee. Previous work in retail or food preparation is considered an advantage.

Broome St. General Store is a high-end convenience market, drawing inspiration from its namesake street in Manhattan\'s NoLita district. This compact department store features a complete sit-down cafe. For more than fourteen years, our Silver Lake outlet has provided grounded, personable service to a wonderfully varied clientele that includes neighborhood regulars, Los Angeles residents, visitors, artists, and families. One might describe us as the unique offspring of a 7-11 and Neiman Marcus.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve expertly made coffee with authentic warmth and energy.
• Deliver considerate and amicable customer service.
• Keep the cafe and retail space tidy, orderly, and fully stocked.
• Adhere to established operating protocols and maintain store standards.
• Help with opening and closing tasks.
• Aid in receiving retail goods and arranging product displays.
• Participate in food preparation duties.
