Schedule: Full-time position, five days weekly (must be flexible for on-call emergency needs)
Pay: $30 to $40 per hour, depending on experience

We are currently seeking a committed Maintenance and Facilities Technician to ensure our behind-the-scenes operations continue seamlessly.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and execute preventative maintenance on all restaurant systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, lighting, carpentry, painting, and drywall.
- Diagnose and repair equipment failures, such as those involving fryers, walk-in coolers, dispensers, chillers, and glycol systems.
- Respond quickly to urgent maintenance problems with minimal operational interruption, acting as the primary point of contact.
- Coordinate and supervise third-party service providers for pest control, grease trap maintenance, landscaping, fire safety, and related services.
- Assist with digital systems, including security cameras, point-of-sale hardware, and Wi-Fi or backup installations.
- Oversee small to mid-sized installation projects, including fixtures, shelving, storage solutions, furniture, and ADA compliance upgrades.
- Maintain and properly organize all maintenance tools and equipment.
- Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and fire codes and regulations.
- Document all completed work and report any unresolved issues on a weekly basis.
- Be available for on-call emergency response during evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of five years of commercial facilities maintenance experience across multiple locations, with a preference for restaurant or retail backgrounds. Property management experience is also advantageous.
- Demonstrated hands-on proficiency in HVAC, refrigeration diagnostics, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and insulation.
- Familiarity and comfort with power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and other trade-specific equipment.
- Must possess a valid California driver\'s license, reliable transportation, and maintain continuous vehicle liability insurance as mandated by state law.
- Strong organizational skills, forward-thinking planning ability, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with vendors and collaborating across teams.
- Availability for occasional weekend work and emergency call-outs.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish.
Preferred Certifications
- EPA 608 Certification for HVAC.
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour Certification.
- Formal electrical certifications.
- HVAC or trade school credentials.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to assume various positions, including sitting, prolonged standing, walking, squatting, crouching, climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, crawling, and reaching overhead.
- Capable of lifting and carrying items, with the ability to lift up to 70 pounds below the waist and up to 45 pounds above the waist.
- Able to push and pull objects weighing up to 120 pounds.
- Comfortable working in tight and confined spaces.
