Maintenance Technician Position at a Real Estate Investment and Property Management Firm
We are an expanding company specializing in real estate investment and multi-family property management. Our portfolio includes apartment buildings across various regions of Los Angeles, such as the Westside, Long Beach, and the San Fernando Valley. Our office is situated in North Hollywood, California, conveniently located near the 134 and 170 Freeways.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Execute all assigned property maintenance and repair tasks.
- Address plumbing issues, including the replacement or installation of faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, and similar fixtures.
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, which involves painting, flooring, tiling, appliance installation, and drywall repair.
- Perform electrical repairs on fixtures, lighting, outlets, switches, and fuses.
- Apply skills in carpentry, cabinet installation, framing, and concrete or masonry work.
- Conduct interior repairs on doors and windows.
- Service, repair, or replace HVAC systems.
- Carry out annual inspections of all units.
- Perform regular quality assessments on equipment and systems to ensure they meet established standards.
- Manage inventory logs for equipment and supplies.
- Be available for on-call duties as required.
- Uphold the highest standards of customer service.
Qualifications
- A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in various trades related to apartment remodeling and general maintenance.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of and ability to work in compliance with building code regulations.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Must possess your own set of tools for all relevant trades.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, with frequent bending, lifting, and climbing.
- Capable of lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds over variable distances.
- Proficiency in using a smartphone.
- Must have reliable personal transportation and provide proof of current automobile insurance.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- This is a full-time position.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage of $25 to $27, potentially higher based on experience.
