Health Advocates is looking for a meticulous Coordinator to assist with the daily functions of our primary office. This position will facilitate task coordination between departments and maintain clear communication to ensure project timelines are met.
Job Summary
Reporting to a supervisor, this role provides intermediate-level administrative support to a designated department. Key duties include: processing incoming mail, addressing inquiries via phone, email, fax, and written correspondence, sorting and distributing mail and reports, producing computer-generated reports, entering data into a digital system, drafting email requests, collecting and requesting documents, retrieving and filing correspondence, handling scanning, faxing, and copying tasks, distributing assorted reports and data, maintaining and updating departmental logs and journals, and performing other assigned tasks.
Qualifications
- A High School diploma or GED is required; a certificate in Medical Billing and Coding or a related field is beneficial.
- One or more years of experience handling moderately complex general office duties in a government, private, or public service organization.
- Experience in a medical office setting (such as a doctor\'s office, hospital, or urgent care) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with insurance verification, medical billing and coding, and medical records is helpful.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Attentive to detail with superior organizational skills.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Solid data entry and auditing competencies.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must have a typing speed of at least 30 words per minute.
Position Details
- Working Title: Coordinator I
- Pay Rate: $19.25 - $24.75 per hour (Based on Experience)
- Position Type: Full-time; Non-exempt
- Schedule: Alternative Work Week - Monday through Thursday 7:30 am to 5:00 pm and Friday 7:30 am to 12:30 pm
- Additional Note: Assessment testing and post-offer background checks are part of our hiring process.
