Primary Duties

In the role of Legal Assistant, you will manage pre-litigation personal injury cases from initiation through to resolution. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Initiating and establishing new client cases.
  • Filing and reporting claims to insurance carriers.
  • Notifying relevant statutory lien holders.
  • Preparing legal representation correspondence.
  • Acquiring police reports.
  • Obtaining medical documentation and billing records.
  • Collaborating effectively with colleagues.
  • Communicating with insurance adjusters, healthcare providers, and other involved parties.

Requirements

  • Must be well-organized and capable of thriving in a fast-paced setting while managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish is required.
  • At least one year of experience in a comparable role or equivalent education is preferred.
  • Computer proficiency and familiarity with standard office productivity software.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the capacity to manage difficult circumstances.

The expected annual salary range for this position is $43,000 to $52,000. The final compensation offered will depend on various factors, including relevant job experience, industry experience, and education. Please note that TORKLAW operates in multiple states, and this salary range may not apply to positions based solely in other locations.
