Litigation Paralegal – Employment - Contract-to-Hire (Culver City, California)

A confidential law firm specializing in plaintiff-side employment litigation is looking for a seasoned litigation paralegal. The candidate must possess substantial experience in handling cases involving discrimination, retaliation, and wage-and-hour disputes.
Role and Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be proficient in the daily operations of litigation. This includes preparing legal filings, coordinating discovery processes, managing meet-and-confer communications, issuing subpoenas, scheduling and summarizing depositions, and assembling trial binders. A strong background in litigation is highly preferred.
Employment Terms
All new hires will start on a per-diem, project-based arrangement. Initial assignments will involve drafting, filing, and providing case support. Performance during this period will be considered for a potential full-time position. If a full-time role is offered, the candidate must be able to work in the office a minimum of three days per week.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of five years of hands-on litigation experience, ideally in employment law or other complex civil litigation.
- Expertise in NYSCEF and ECF filing systems and standard discovery procedures.
- Excellent legal writing skills, superior organizational ability, and meticulous attention to detail.
