Position: Stage Manager (Backstage Crew)

We are seeking dynamic, detail-oriented, and passionate backstage specialists to become part of our touring production crew.

This role is ideal for individuals who excel in live event settings, perform well in fast-paced situations, and find satisfaction in ensuring seamless operations behind the curtain.

Each weekend brings new challenges—you will be instrumental in realizing performances and providing a fluid experience for both dancers and spectators.

Responsibilities

• Load-in and breakdown of event equipment (must be able to lift up to 50 pounds)
• Install and secure Marley dance flooring
• Configure televisions, radios, iPods, and oversee the backstage application system
• Manage performer coordination and lineup schedules
• Cultivate positive working relationships with studio representatives, directors, and clients
• Organize the awards table and provide onstage support during ceremonies
• Ensure stage and backstage zones remain clean, safe, and orderly
• Uphold professional radio etiquette when communicating with crew members
• Follow instructions from Event Directors and collaborate effectively with the team
• Monitor and report on award inventory (items received and remaining)

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities
• Capacity to remain composed and attentive in demanding circumstances
• Resourceful approach to solving problems
• Collaborative spirit and dedicated professionalism
• Ability to remain on one\'s feet for extended durations (typically 25 to 40 hours per weekend)
• Availability to travel from Thursday through Monday (with occasional Wednesday overnight travel)
• Possession of a valid government-issued ID or Passport
• Must be fully vaccinated or agree to supply weekly negative test results
• Previous involvement with youth or live production environments is beneficial
• Dance background is advantageous but not mandatory

Compensation

Pay varies with experience: $200 to $1000 per event

Hourly Rate: $16 to $18 per hour

Season Commencement: February 2026
