Tile Showroom and Office Associate (Van Nuys)

Our company, a distributor and importer of ceramic and porcelain tile, is seeking a full-time inside sales associate to join our retail showroom located in Van Nuys. The ideal candidate will assist clients throughout their tile project journey, from initial planning to final selections regarding style, color, and design, ensuring the chosen product is appropriate for its intended application. Our objective extends beyond completing a sale; we aim to cultivate delighted and content customers who appreciate both your assistance and their overall experience. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with our wholesale distributor network, accepting their orders via phone, fax, or email, and verifying product availability on their behalf.

This role presents prospects for professional development and career growth. Prior familiarity or formal education in surfacing materials, or a background in design, is considered advantageous. We are looking for an individual who:

• Possesses solid customer service, mathematical, and computer competencies
• Is capable of handling multiple tasks and working every other Saturday
• Can collaborate effectively with our existing showroom team
• Has some prior knowledge or training in surface materials

Primary duties encompass:

• Providing design assistance and answering customer inquiries about our product offerings
• Answering incoming phone calls
• Processing orders received by fax or telephone
• Fulfilling small order pick-ups
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the showroom
• Upkeeping and organizing our sample library
