Dog-E-Den Hollywood is a full-service canine care center located on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, situated between the Sunset Strip and Hollywood & Highland. The facility is seeking dependable dog handlers for seasonal employment to assist during the holiday period from November through January. Candidates must be available to work on major holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year\'s.

Dog handlers are responsible for overseeing, tending to, and engaging with our dog guests. Duties include cleaning tasks related to urine, feces, and occasional vomit. We are looking for enthusiastic animal lovers who are not afraid of getting dirty and are willing to perform demanding work. The ideal applicant will have a flexible schedule over the coming two months, particularly during early morning and late evening hours when most dogs are fed.

We prefer candidates who can work various shifts throughout the day. Those with open or highly adaptable schedules will receive priority consideration.

• Monitoring play sessions
• Helping with feeding routines
• Performing general cleaning and upkeep tasks

While this is a rewarding role working with animals, staff should not expect to simply \"pet puppies.\" The environment involves barking, shedding fur, waste cleanup, muddy paws, and physically strenuous activity. For the right individual, this seasonal role could transition into a permanent position after the holiday period.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be comfortable handling all breeds and sizes of dogs in a kind and humane way.
• Must have a flexible schedule, including availability for evening shifts as needed.
• Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds and remaining physically active throughout the shift.
• Must work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Must demonstrate a strong work ethic, physical stamina, responsibility, honesty, patience, and punctuality.
• Must possess good verbal communication skills, a sense of humor, a positive outlook, and a genuine love for dogs.
