Position: Stage Manager (Backstage Crew)

We are seeking energetic, well-organized, and passionate backstage professionals to become part of our touring production crew. If you excel in live event settings, perform well in high-pressure situations, and take satisfaction in ensuring smooth operations behind the curtain, this role is an ideal match for you.

Each weekend brings new challenges—you will play a key role in bringing performances to life and delivering a flawless experience for both dancers and spectators.

Responsibilities

• Load-in and breakdown of event equipment (must be able to lift up to 50 pounds)
• Lay down and secure Marley dance flooring
• Set up televisions, radios, iPods, and oversee the backstage application system
• Coordinate performers and manage performance schedules
• Foster positive relationships with studio representatives, directors, and clients
• Prepare the awards table and assist during onstage presentations
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly stage and backstage areas
• Uphold professional radio communication with fellow team members
• Follow instructions from Event Directors and collaborate effectively
• Track and report award inventory (items received and remaining)

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational and communication abilities
• Capacity to remain composed and focused in demanding situations
• Resourceful problem-solving approach
• Team player with a strong dedication to work
• Able to remain on feet for extended periods (typically 25–40 hours per weekend)
• Must be available to travel from Thursday through Monday (occasional Wednesday redeye travel)
• Must possess a valid government-issued ID or Passport
• Must be fully vaccinated or prepared to provide weekly negative test results
• Previous experience with youth or live production is beneficial
• Dance background is advantageous but not mandatory

Compensation

Pay varies with experience: $200 – $1000 per event
Hourly Rate: $16 – $18 per hour
Season begins: February 2026
