About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Laboratory Technician to become part of our operations team. This entry-level role assists in both production tasks and material logistics, ensuring daily operations run seamlessly and effectively. The ideal applicant is organized, pays close attention to detail, and thrives on hands-on work in a dynamic setting. In this position, you will collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of mission-oriented scientists and engineers to advance the creation and development of innovative diagnostic products.
The job is located in Santa Barbara, California—a picturesque area known for its stunning natural scenery, outdoor activities, big-city amenities in a mid-sized town, and convenient proximity to California\'s major metropolitan centers.
Responsibilities
- Support routine production processes, such as preparing materials, assembly, and testing according to established protocols.
- Operate and upkeep laboratory or production equipment as trained.
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials and components.
- Organize and manage inventory of raw materials and finished goods.
- Coordinate and prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and labeling.
- Monitor inventory levels and promptly communicate restocking requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to track materials and production schedules.
- Additional duties may be assigned in this dynamic work environment.
Qualifications

- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

- Comfortable working in both laboratory and warehouse settings, including lifting items up to 25 pounds.
