Senior QA Engineer (Torrance)

About This Job

Collaborates with the development team and stakeholders to comprehend project specifications and needs. Creates test strategies, plans, and cases to guarantee thorough testing coverage.

Carries out both manual and automated testing to confirm software functionality, detect issues, and verify compliance with quality benchmarks. Conducts necessary functional, integration, regression, performance, and usability assessments.

Records and monitors defects discovered during testing, coordinating with the development team to facilitate prompt resolution. Performs root cause analysis and assists in determining corrective measures to avoid recurrence of similar problems.

Builds and updates automated test scripts utilizing appropriate testing frameworks, tools, and programming languages.

Establishes and configures test environments, including hardware, software, and network setups.

Generates and oversees test data to ensure sufficient coverage and precision during testing. Identifies and protects sensitive or confidential test data as needed.

Produces and maintains testing documentation, such as test plans, cases, scripts, and reports. Delivers precise and comprehensive updates on test outcomes, metrics, and overall quality status to relevant stakeholders.

Works alongside cross-functional teams, including developers, business stakeholders, and analysts, to foster a common understanding of requirements and quality goals. Communicates effectively to offer feedback, highlight issues, and promote quality enhancements.

Continuously assesses and refines testing processes, methodologies, and tools to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and overall quality. Keeps informed of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advances in QA methodologies.

Champions a quality-focused culture within the organization by advocating for QA best practices, standards, and processes. Takes part in code reviews, design discussions, and quality-related initiatives to uphold quality standards.

Education Requirement

Master\'s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.

Experience Requirement

24 months of relevant experience.
