Position: Action Photographer

We are looking for a skilled and dynamic Photographer to become a member of our national dance competition tour crew. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about freezing moments in time, enjoys working with young people, and can thrive during extended, high-energy weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup and breakdown of event equipment (must be able to lift 20 pounds).
• Take high-caliber photographs of dancers during their live performances.
• Communicate inventory and supply requirements to the Event Director.
• Keep the work area neat and orderly.
• Travel is required from Thursday evening through Monday morning.
• Maintain a positive, cooperative attitude and follow instructions effectively.

Qualifications

• Proficient in operating professional photography equipment (examples include Nikon D5, Canon 5D, and 70–200mm Nikkor or L-series lenses).
• Solid grasp of photographic exposure, white balance, and composition.
• Previous experience in action or live event photography is a plus.
• Must be organized, reliable, and adept at handling cash and credit card transactions.
• Ability to work extended hours, typically 25 to 40 hours per weekend.
• Must have availability to travel from Thursday to Monday.
• A valid government-issued ID or passport is mandatory.

Compensation

Pay is dependent on experience, ranging from $200 to $1000 per event. The season commences in February 2026.
