Tape-based documentary initiatives are increasingly popular, with numerous classic features and series being re-released. Our expertise lies in capturing and restoring vintage series and films.

We operate more than 30 capture stations and possess virtually every legacy tape deck model, including up to 72 decks for each major format. This extensive capacity enables us to complete your digitization projects much more quickly while maintaining competitive pricing. Our digitization services cover the following formats:

• Betacam, Beta SP, and Digibeta (all versions)
• U-Matic and U-Matic SP (we operate the premier U-Matic transfer system in Los Angeles and are pleased to explain why)

We also provide professional tape baking services for U-Matic, Betacam, and other tape types affected by Sticky Shed Syndrome.

RECOMMENDED SERVICE: TERANEX UPCONVERSION / DEINTERLACING TO HD OR 4K

Teranex processing delivers 100% or greater detail and resolution compared to software-based methods, establishing it as the broadcast industry\'s gold standard for upconversion and deinterlacing. Alternatively, we can utilize Topaz AI for this process.

We can also employ award-winning iZotope RX software to enhance and clean the audio on your tapes for an additional charge of $5 per tape.

Captures can be performed in 10-bit ProRes or in an Avid codec. For substantial projects involving 5,000 or more tapes, we have the capability to deploy additional capture stations. We also offer deck and capture station rentals for clients who prefer to handle the digitization themselves.

Please reach out to us for pricing on very large media libraries. We recently completed a project of 14,000 tapes within a strict 10-week timeframe for a major educational foundation. Our client portfolio includes the Roddenberry Archive, the late Betty White, the rock bands Maroon 5 and The Grateful Dead, the US Army, and billionaire Michael Milken.

Film scanning services for 8mm, Super 8, 16mm, and 35mm film up to 4K resolution are also available, utilizing the Lasergraphics Scanstation 5K scanner—a system significantly superior to Cintel.

We cater to the television and film industry, specializing in the remastering of classic TV series and films. Consequently, we maintain the finest equipment available and are committed to delivering only the highest possible quality.

FINDER\'S FEE

If you refer us to a large-scale documentary project, tape library, or archive containing 1,000 or more tapes, we will pay a 10% finder\'s fee. This can amount to thousands of dollars.
