Homework Help for Middle and High School Students in Literature, History, English (Everywhere Online)
About This Service
Parents: Collaborating with a partner—who is also a former university instructor in writing and history—can transform your child\'s homework experience from a struggle into a success. I am Ms. Sandy, and I conduct sessions via Google Meet, Google Docs, and FaceTime. Students share copies of their assignments and teacher\'s notes. In my role as a private tutor, I focus on teaching the foundational strategies essential for their courses. What drives my passion for this work? Having taught at the university level for many years, I was consistently surprised by how many incoming students lacked core study and writing abilities. This gap is entirely preventable.
When your child works with me, they will learn the following:
- How to annotate texts and create outlines while reading complex materials such as stories, poems, historical documents, and more.
- How to rapidly expand their vocabulary by compiling lists of new words and definitions and actively using them in their writing.
- How to prepare for exams by grasping the overarching concepts, memorizing key facts and terminology from their notes, and understanding timelines and relevant geography.
- How to articulate plots, subplots, characters, and themes in their own words.
- How to write effectively.
- How to begin work early, relax, dedicate the necessary time to achieve genuine comprehension, and avoid procrastination. Please note, I do not accept assignments due the following day.
Please text me at 6264971165 and let me know which student needs assistance and for which class. We can then develop a suitable plan.
My rate is $50 per hour or $75 for 90 minutes, payable via Zelle at the time of the session. No advance payments or contracts are required, and I offer a flexible schedule.
Give yourself a rest: you are not the homework tutor. I am.
