His focus is on assisting students in developing or refining their skill set and bolstering their self-assurance. This approach aids them in managing and overcoming nervousness. Sandy Hackett has several years of experience teaching acting in Las Vegas at the Desert Theater Arts Academy. He has also instructed numerous private students in both Las Vegas and Los Angeles. For three semesters, he taught Public Speaking at UNLV. Furthermore, he worked with young dancers aged 8 to 18 at the Elite Dance and Performing Arts Academy, helping them incorporate acting into their dance abilities.

From a young age, Sandy Hackett was motivated by his father, the famed comedian Buddy Hackett, to pursue a career in comedy. Buddy provided his son with the foundational principles that launched his evolution and adaptability as a performer, producer, writer, and entertainer. Sandy earned a degree in Hotel Administration from UNLV, where he also held the position of Director of Entertainment. He produced \"The Sahara Showcase of Talent\" at the Sahara Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas for four years. The event was later renamed \"Sandy Hackett’s Talent Showcase\" and continued for an additional ten years. Hackett also hosted and produced the show at Sahara Reno, Sahara Tahoe, and the former Mint and Dunes Hotel & Casinos. Throughout this period, Sandy presented over ten thousand acts, featuring many debut performances by artists such as Andrew \"Dice\" Clay, Howie Mandel, Gary Muledeer, The Unknown Comic, Tony D’Andrea, Kenny Kerr, George Wallace, and numerous others. During the 1990s, Hackett operated his own successful comedy club in Laughlin, Nevada. He served as the Entertainment Director for Sun City Summerlin, scheduling performers for more than 400 shows over two years at the Starbright Theater. Sandy authored his own production, a recreation of the Rat Pack featuring Joey Bishop, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis, Jr., titled \"Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show.\" Since 2001, he has cast and directed over one hundred actors in his touring Rat Pack productions.
