Hello everyone, I\'m Max, a professional guitarist and instructor located in Los Angeles. I am currently accepting a limited number of students for guitar lessons.

I am a graduate of USC and possess 13 years of teaching experience alongside 22 years of performance experience. My teaching background includes private, online, and classroom instruction. I previously served as the second-in-command at Marty Music, the largest guitar instruction channel on YouTube.

I provide instruction for students of all ages and skill levels. Your lesson plan will be customized according to your personal goals and musical interests.

For Beginners

Are you just starting your musical journey? I will have you playing music in your very first lesson, challenging the idea that guitar mastery is reserved only for those with so-called \'natural talent.\'

For Intermediate Players

Have you reached a point where progress feels stalled? I will provide new direction, sharing techniques and insights that can unlock fresh possibilities, rekindle your enthusiasm, and help you avoid common frustrations.

Music Theory Instruction

Interested in understanding music theory? I will explain the fundamental components of what I refer to as \"functional music theory,\" making it less mysterious and more practical for you to apply directly to your playing.

Songwriting Guidance

Looking to write your own songs? I completed extensive songwriting studies in college, have composed hundreds of songs for television and commercials, and have collaborated with multiplatinum songwriters, major labels, and Grammy-winning producers. I am well-equipped to assist you in this area as well.
