A self-storage company is looking to hire a part-time Assistant Store Manager for its location in El Monte. The role requires working two days per week. Previous experience in self-storage, property management, retail, or the restaurant industry is a plus but not essential. Strong office, sales, communication, technology, and customer service skills are required.

Availability and Requirements

The Assistant Facility Manager must be available for weekend shifts and have some flexibility to cover additional days as needed. All candidates must pass screenings for drugs, financial history, and criminal background.

Primary Responsibilities

The main duty of the Assistant Store Manager is to ensure the smooth operation of the facility during assigned shifts. This involves maximizing sales and occupancy, managing delinquencies, performing light custodial and maintenance tasks, and completing other assigned duties.

Job Duties Include

• Boost income and occupancy by using daily sales plans, marketing, and promotional efforts to rent storage units.
• Maintain strong financial controls, make collection calls, provide accurate administrative and financial reports, and assist with auction preparations.
• Deliver excellent customer service and demonstrate professional telephone skills, including resolving customer concerns and complaints.
• Conduct daily visual inspections to ensure the property and grounds are clean, safe, and well-maintained, while performing light maintenance and checking tenant locks.
• Operate computer and security systems efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with management and staff regarding issues, concerns, and operational reports.
