Northridge Veterinary Center, a well-regarded small animal clinic situated in the northern region of the San Fernando Valley, is presently conducting interviews to fill a technician role.
We are seeking candidates who reliably show an eagerness to listen, acquire new knowledge, and complete tasks thoroughly. Applicants need to communicate in a clear and direct manner, manage multiple responsibilities efficiently, and be meticulous with details. Strong time management and the capacity to determine task priority are essential. Ideal applicants will be dependable, accountable, dedicated, and self-assured.
We give preference to those with proficiency in both front desk and technical duties, who are prepared to work a schedule that meets the operational demands of the practice.
Duties and responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:
- Managing high call volume, arranging appointments, client check-in and check-out, processing patient drop-offs, sending reminders, preparing estimates for treatments or surgeries as instructed, and performing daily opening and closing procedures.
- Maintaining and sanitizing kennels, walking dogs, and providing care for boarding animals and grooming.
- Restocking inventory, rotating stock, and performing cycle counts.
- Accurately documenting treatments and services in medical records, handling filing, making log entries, and adhering to reporting and record retention protocols.
- Restocking supplies, cleaning, and performing routine facility upkeep.
- Completing assistant and technician tasks such as: animal restraint, administering vaccines and medications, preparing surgical packs, collecting samples, placing IV catheters, taking radiographs, correctly using personal protective equipment, discussing continued care with pet owners, and assisting with dental and surgical procedures.
