We are seeking a Tax Manager prepared to take on a substantial role. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate within an efficient environment focused on delivering accurate and timely client outcomes
- Conduct tax research as needed for specific client situations
- Review tax returns prepared by staff and provide coaching and guidance
- Identify planning opportunities and innovative strategies to reduce client tax liabilities
- Prepare for and manage tax audits conducted by the IRS, California FTB, and other relevant agencies
- Ensure the team remains informed about new tax legislation and updates
- Assist business clients with various financial projects, both recurring and special in nature
QUALIFICATIONS
- CPA or Enrolled Agent certification is mandatory
- Advanced, expert-level proficiency with Lacerte tax software is required
- Solid working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- Minimum of five years of experience in both preparing and reviewing tax returns
- Prior experience in staff leadership or managing a small office is advantageous
- Outstanding communication and client relationship skills
