An established personal injury and civil rights law firm located in Old Town Pasadena is looking for a seasoned paralegal to join its team. The primary responsibilities for this role, listed in approximate order of priority, are as follows:
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with clients to prepare thorough responses to discovery requests, which include completing questionnaires and assembling requested documents.
- Drafting demand packages for matters both before and after litigation commences, in addition to preparing briefs for mediation and settlement conferences.
- Conducting background investigations on clients, opposing parties, and key witnesses.
- Examining and condensing medical records along with other pertinent documentation.
- Maintaining frequent telephone communication with clients, expert witnesses, opposing counsel, and other relevant contacts.
Candidates must possess prior litigation experience. A background in personal injury law is strongly favored.
Proficiency with computer systems is essential, as the office operates in a fully digital, paperless environment where technology is integral to all workflows.
This is a full-time, salaried role that includes health insurance and retirement benefits.
