Full-Time Dog Caretaker / Legal Assistant (Koreatown)

We are looking for a full-time individual who is exceptionally intelligent, energetic, agile, and self-motivated to serve as both a dog caretaker and legal assistant for our civil litigation practice in Koreatown.

The attorney brings his three-year-old Doberman Pinscher to the office each day. While the dog is very friendly and sociable, it requires daily strenuous, hardcore, and demanding physical exercise totaling several hours. This is a physically rigorous role, and the ideal candidate must be willing to spend a minimum of three hours per day outside the office with the dog.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves dogs, is eager to work hard, and embraces a \"no job is too big or too small\" attitude.

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing care for a large dog, which includes cleaning up after it.
• Taking the dog to Silver Lake Dog Park twice daily, in the morning and late afternoon, for 30 to 40 minutes each session to exercise and play fetch.
• Driving to the attorney\'s residence in South Pasadena after the dog park visits to drop off and feed the dog. The drive from the dog park is approximately 30 minutes.
• Assisting with the drafting and filing of legal documents and correspondence.
• Managing the attorney\'s calendar, including scheduling meetings and depositions.
• Assisting with various personal errands for the attorney.

This position requires a willingness to spend at least three hours outdoors each day, in all weather conditions, for dog walking, exercise, drop-off, and feeding, in addition to performing in-office legal work and personal tasks.

Prerequisites:

• Must possess a valid driver\'s license.
• Must have experience handling large dogs, preferably breeds over 70 to 80 pounds.
• Must have access to a four-door vehicle.
• Prior law firm or legal office experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Korean or Spanish is a plus.

Compensation and Details:

Pay: $22 per hour.

Gas mileage will be reimbursed at the current IRS rate of 70 cents per mile.

One week of paid vacation is provided per year.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Overtime of four to five hours per week will be required.
