Position: Merchandise Associate (Swag Sales Team)

Become a member of our Merchandise Swag Sales Team and assist in delivering the distinctive KAR experience at events across the country.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup and breakdown of event materials, including boxes, display racks, and signage. This role requires the ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Arrange and organize merchandise displays, effectively creating a temporary retail environment.
• Manage a Point-of-Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions.
• Monitor inventory levels, manage backup stock, and communicate replenishment needs for future events.
• Showcase promotional material on lobby television screens using dedicated event applications.
• Present a professional, approachable, and energetic demeanor when interacting with attendees.
• Travel is necessary for this position, typically from Thursday evening through Monday morning.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with app-based point-of-sale systems and similar technology.
• A cooperative attitude, reliable work ethic, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capacity to remain on your feet for extended durations, averaging 25 to 40 hours per weekend.
• Must have availability to travel from Thursday to Monday.
• Possession of a valid government-issued identification card or passport is mandatory.

Compensation

Earnings vary with experience, ranging from $200 to $1000 per event.
Hourly rate: $16 to $18 per hour.
The seasonal schedule commences in February 2026.
