Field Sales Representative in San Diego

We are a life science supply company headquartered in San Diego. Our specialization encompasses a broad range of laboratory essentials, including plastic consumables, reagents, assay kits, buffers, prepared agar plates, broth media, and various equipment. We are seeking a dynamic, self-driven individual with a constructive outlook and a strong work ethic to help grow our business throughout southern California.

This role entails daily in-person sales visits to laboratories. Responsibilities involve direct engagement with our current clientele, prospecting for new accounts, and diligent follow-up on incoming inquiries, as well as leads generated by the company or provided by customers. Exceptional customer service and robust relationship-building abilities are fundamental to success in this position.

Basic Requirements

• A Bachelor\'s, Master\'s, or Ph.D. degree in a life science discipline, coupled with hands-on experience in life science research.
• A minimum of three to five years of sales experience, with a strong preference for background in the life science supply sector.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated strength in planning and organizational capabilities.
• Detail-oriented with an analytical mindset, alongside superior prioritization and communication skills.
• Competence in time management and territory management.
• Outstanding sales abilities, with skill in establishing and meeting goals and objectives.
• Must uphold the utmost standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
• Access to reliable transportation is required.

Preferred Skills

• Three to five or more years of documented sales experience.

The company offers a base salary plus commission. Sales representatives will be responsible for maintaining existing business and will earn commission on any additional revenue they generate. This is a full-time role that includes health insurance and retirement benefits.
