About This Service

Are you interested in taking lessons for guitar, bass, ukulele, singing, or songwriting? Perhaps you\'d like to learn about music production and recording? Or maybe your goal is simply to improve your overall musical abilities?

My name is Blake Baldwin, and I am here to serve as your personal music instructor. I conduct in-person sessions at my home music studio located in the South Bay area. However, if you are not local, there is no need to worry—we can easily arrange lessons via Zoom.

With more than 15 years of teaching experience, I have worked both privately and with several musical institutions. My background includes roles with the Cal Arts CAP program, Sunset Learning Studio, artworx LA, and Long Lake Camp for the Arts. I offer private and group music instruction and am proficient in nearly every style of rock and pop music, ranging from pop and indie to classic rock, blues, and even death metal. I also provide coaching for bands.

I customize lesson plans for every student. Some of the areas we may focus on during our sessions include:

A Bit About My Background

I am a multi-instrumentalist session musician, singer-songwriter, and composer. I earned an MFA in 2014 from the Herb Alpert School of Music\'s Performer/Composer program, which is known for its eclectic approach. Since graduating, I have contributed performances and arrangements to a wide array of collaborative projects and have performed extensively across the Southwest and West Coast.

I welcome students of all ages and skill levels, whether individuals or groups/bands. Lessons are available in 30, 45, or 60-minute durations, and discounted rates are offered for bulk bookings.
