A staffing firm is currently seeking professional Leasing Consultants for immediate placement in the Los Angeles region. Candidates must possess at least one year of relevant experience.

The compensation range is $20 to $22 per hour.

All positions begin on a temporary or temp-to-hire basis.

Job Description

  • Must be able to thrive in a rapid-paced work setting.
  • Must have knowledge of apartment and multi-family leasing procedures and Fair Housing regulations.
  • Experience with property management software is advantageous. Examples include AMSI, Yardi, Rent Roll, OneSite, and eSite.
  • Bilingual candidates are highly sought after.
  • Experience with luxury properties, new lease-ups, rehabilitation projects, or tax credit programs is considered a plus.
  • Use accounting software on computers to enter, maintain, and evaluate data.
  • Comprehend the standard Apartment Association lease agreement and the associated credit report application.
  • Receive rental payments and enter them into the system.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and corporate policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Record all funds received and prepare bank deposit slips regularly.
  • Perform debit, credit, and account totaling functions within specialized accounting software spreadsheets and databases.
  • Verify that all necessary legal documents from new vendors are received, current, accurate, and entered into the system before any payment is issued.
  • Communicate with Property Managers to confirm invoice accuracy, proper attachment of purchase orders, and correct coding per company guidelines.
  • Ensure all property invoices are approved, entered, and paid in a timely fashion.
  • Access digital financial records to resolve any disputes with vendors or payments.
  • Review entries, postings, and documents for accuracy, proper calculations, and correct codes. Prepare accounting notices for former residents.
  • Support lease transactions by preparing lease documents, collecting applicant history, and processing credit approvals.
  • Maintain precise monthly commission records related to new leases, renewals, and delinquencies for bonus calculation.
  • Offer general administrative support to the community office.
  • Physical demands include the ability to walk the property extensively, bend, stoop, and lift items under 50 pounds.
